The Eaton Families Association

Membership in the Eaton Families Association is open to anyone interested in tracing their Eaton ancestors or just learning more about the Eaton surname, its history and varied spellings down through the years. The many benefits of membership are well worth the minimal cost. Here is what you get:

  • Complete access to a new and improved website including searchable family trees containing more than 65,000 Eaton descendants dating back to the 11th century.

  • The New Etonian, a monthly electronic newsletter, featuring the latest genealogy and lineage information, research tips and opportunities, special events, genealogy events, articles and photographs, all pertaining to the Eaton line.

  • Archival material from census reports, vital records, military records, wills, historical documents and other resources, including association newsletters and reports dating back to the 1880s.

  • Perhaps most importantly an opportunity for you to share with fellow members what you have discovered about your Eaton ancestors, either through posting your family tree on the association website or submitting articles and photographs to The New Etonian.

Here is all it costs

  • A one-time initiation fee of $40, which is waived for students. A student member is any person aged 23 or younger who is enrolled full time in an academic program and can submit a copy of a student ID or other supporting document indicating his/her birthdate and full-time status.

  • Annual dues of $20 for most members, $10 for students.

  • Member Emeritus - Anyone who has been a member of the association for at least two years and has reached the age of 75 is exempt from paying annual dues.
